What an awesome day! Oct 27, 2019 at 12 pm, we yelled “I am a SPARTAN” and took off running. The day was finally upon us to participate in the Spartan Sprint race. The race distance was stated to be a little over 3 miles (ended up being 4 miles) and over 20 obstacles. The course consisted of hills, trails through the woods, mud, water, monkey bars, rope climbs, wall climbs of various heights and not to mention the weighted buckets and sand bags that had to be carried through the trails. OMG! It was total craziness! We love running 5 & 10 k races together but this race is a bit different because all of the obstacles that were mentioned earlier. We had never done a race like this together and we both were a little nervous but welcomed the challenge.
We completed the course in 1 hour and 42 minutes. It was fun. It was an amazing experience. It was a challenge that we completed together. It’s always great to get outside of our comfort zone and do something different. We did that! Now that we’ve finally recovered from the race we have started to look for our next race. I hope that we have inspired you to get outside of your comfort zone and do something you’re never done.
Much love,
The Blacks
