Holiday Gains



After several days of indulging over the holiday you may be feeling a little bloated and the number on the scale is up. No worries, it’s time to reset. You’ve enjoyed family, friends, and food but now it’s back to the grind. As you know, its normal for your weight to fluctuate due to natural functions like drinking, eating, and sweating, however, eating high carbs and high sodium foods over the holidays will cause you to retain more water weight and the number on the scale goes up. No worries. A week or so of clean eating, exercise, proper hydration, and rest you’ll be back to your normal weight. If not, you may be stuck with those extra pounds. There is no need for punishment workouts following the holiday. The key is to always incorporate healthy habits year-round. It’s not necessary to go extreme after the holiday.


Remember: Safe, simple, and sustainable changes equal a healthy lifestyle.
